Introducing Montclair's newest bagel shop! From humble DIY beginnings, Harvey's Handrolled Bagels has been perfecting the art of bagel making since 2020. Steps away from Walnut Street Train Station, Harvey's makes traditional New York style bagels and specialty sandwiches, crafted by hand in Montclair, NJ.
Our task was to create a brand that connects modern design with the minimalistic DIY ethos of the Harvey's Handrolled Bagels in its formative stages. Utilizing a graphic color scheme, tastefully playful typography, and simplistic illustration, we created a warm, friendly and iconic brand atmosphere that visually stood out from the countless generic bagel shops throughout the area.
It was important that the brand identity system could function as a scaleable visual language that could adapt as the business evolves. The brand started out as a pandemic shutdown era hobby that delivered homemade bagels utilizing social media. After quickly gaining a loyal following and generating hype in the local dining scene, Harvey's was able to secure a storefront in downtown Montclair, NJ.
For a new business like Harvey's, establishing an online presence is an essential step in scaling a company's workflow and operations. Minimal design and functionality making the site quick and easy to use for any user. Since the food selection is constantly evolving throughout the seasons, an easily customizable menu was a must for the client.
